Republicans In DC Questioning Palin Staff

Staff Infection: Allies Rip Palin Team

Politico- A seemingly unending series of public relations gaffes has Sarah Palin loyalists frustrated and worried she is diminishing her stature. And they blame an inner circle they say is composed of not-ready-for-primetime players.

It takes you until the 20th paragraph until you read about one so called gaffe. Seemingly unending? Have I missed something? The "seemingly unending gaffes" that Politico mentions is the turkey getting killed, which I thought was fantastic for exposing whiny little bitches everywhere in America.

Then it mentions the John Ziegler interview. Apparently these gaffes are in the eye of the beholder, because I thought it was about damn time she stood up and said something about the media.

The last one has to do with Capitol Hill Republicans scratching their heads over a mix up between her office and the national party offices. You'd think she was appointing tax cheats and making special olympics jokes by the way this story inflates these "gaffes."

My problem with the story is not the reporters, but the "aides and allies" that are feeling left out of the process.

Several aides and allies from inside and outside last year’s presidential campaign complain of being frozen out by the Alaska governor’s staff and even those who are still in touch with the governor suggest her string of unforced errors are the direct result of having nobody around her to offer sound political advice.

I wonder why Palin would freeze some of these people out? Could it be that the first time she doesnt take their advice they go and leak stories about her to, I don't know, Politico. After the way she was handled by DC Republicans during the campaign I would be just as suspicious of them as she seems to be.

Listen, I have never been involved in any type of campaign at all. From the outside looking in, it seems to me that poltical staff from DC are nothing more than mercenaries. They don't have your best interest at heart, and soon as your ship is sinking they hop off and head toward someone elses.

Now her staff may have made some missteps along the way, but nothing I have seen has been so egregious that they should be fired. Certainly they have been better than the crew that was assigned to her during the campaign. The people in this story may very well like Palin and just want to get in and help her. Trust, however, is the biggest asset you can bring to a candidate, and you dont earn that by leaking to the media.

  1. When the same political machine that took Republican control of in the House, Senate, and White House, and turned it into an entitlement spewing, big government wetdream AND THEN flushed control down the drain where there are barely enough Republicans in Wash. to have one each on all the committees, tells you you're doing it wrong - you're doing it right.
In 8th grade, if I had written the above sentence, I had an English teacher that would have made me diagram it. I would have had to commit Hari Kari instead.

  2. It appears to me that Governor Palin has resumed doing the job she was elected to do. There are a lot of people complaining that she isn't into the perpetual campaign like they are. Listen up dummies. She's just not into you.

  3. Before Sarah was named the VP choice, we couldn't give McCain signs away in Dallas. The Monday after he named her, our campaign office was non-stop. I think the "establishment" can't get over a VP being more popular than the nominee. I just hope she listens to those who have her best interests at heart.
