Obama On 60 Minutes

Ok first off, let me say that after watching him on 60 minutes last night, Obama might be worse than I thought. And I had already ranked him somewhere between dog shit and SARS. I couldn't believe some of the answers he was giving. I havent sat in stunned silence like that since Daniel Laruso made his amazing run through the '84 All Valley Karate Championship.



There was one difference between those two feelings though. Larusso inspired hope in my 4 year old heart, while Obama inspired (?) fear. When you actually listen to him you realize that he makes no sense at all. Here is a guy who rebukes Cheney by saying that the American justice system is good enough to handle the guys at Gitmo, but then 2 sentences later says that they dont need to be read their Miranda rights. Arent Miranda rights part of the American justice system? That probably would have been a good follow up question, but understandably there wasn't enough time to ask that and still get to the important issues like swing sets.

This is the first time that his decisons, his actions, will actually affect other peoples lives. He has never been in charge of anything before. This is a guy who thought Rev Wright was a good preacher, Bill Ayers was a good guy to have on his side, Bill Richardson would make a good Commerce Secretary, and Timothy Geithner could run the Treasury...by himself. I haven't seen somebody make this many bad decisions since Dana Plato was around. Lets just hope their is only 4 years of this guy and his teleprompter left.
