Rush Was Wrong About Ted

I have to disagree with Rush Limbaughs recent statement about Ted Kennedy. Speaking the other day about health care reform he said, "Before it's all over, it'll be called the Ted Kennedy memorial health care bill." This was picked up by Politico and the AP to try and start some sort of controversy. So I have to disagree with Rush on this statement. After all, this is the "Lion of the Senate" that we are talking about. We must show the proper respect.

So, I do not think that this bill should be named the Ted Kennedy Memorial bill. The Conservative Comeback is opting to name this bill after someone who is already deceased. Somebody who shows the true compassion of Ted Kennedys quest for health care. This bill will now be called the Mary Jo Kopechne Memorial health care bill.

Just think of the great lengths that Teddy went through to ensure that Mary Jo received the proper health care on her final day. I only hope the health care bill that he is now crafting helps us the way he helped her. We here at The Conservative Comeback have read a portion of the bill that has not yet been made public. Under this bill EMTs will respond to emergency situations by checking into a hotel for 8 hours and hoping with their fingers crossed that the person gets better on their own. They will then make a few phone calls, complain about the noise in the next room, take a nice nap, and then maybe go to the scene to see if the victim is still there. It is truly going to be a great change for the health care industry.

I couldn't think of a man who would be better at crafting this health care bill than Ted Kennedy. He has the resume to back it up and Rush Limbaugh should respect that. So consider this my formal disagreement with Rush on the health care bill. The "Lion of the Senate" is the only man who truly understands the right that people have to quality health care. Just ask Mary Jo.

  1. Brilliant.

We could also name it the Natasha Richardson bill to remind us what kind of care we're going to get when we turn into Canada. No money for a helicopter, no rush to the hospital, waiting for hours, and ultimately an untimely death.

Technically we can do what Senators do and co-name the bill after two people. Like Hatch & Kennedy just did to force us to volunteer on state mandated projects chosen most likely by Democrats. I want to work at an abortion clinic - it's health care and a woman's right to choose.
