The Art of Deflection

Every blogger for the past 18+ hours has been posting about George Tiller. And I'm sure it's only about to get worse...especially from the loons on the left.

I'm not all that inclined to discuss this too much. There are crazies and moonbats regardless of political affiliation. With that said, I think that we should give as much discussion to this story as we did in examining Barack Obama's voting record in the Illinois House on protection for babies born alive after botched abortions.

So Susan Boyle came in second place and suffered some type of breakdown apparently. Thoughts??

Okay harsh? Probably but we need to change direction and tenor of this discussion. This was a murder and should be investigated and subsequently prosecuted as such. We don't need to go into overtime discussing the fanatics to the right-wing pro-life movement. I don't have the stats on the number of abortion doctors killed by a fringe wingnuts. Why? Because it's not a trend. And to have stats on hand try lend support to some half-baked theory that this is commonplace or a growing trend is absurd. Clearly this suspect, Scott Roeder, has checked out mentally. Let the criminal justice system hold him responsible.

I think it's going to be interesting to see how the left covers this. They certainly didn't want to talk about abortion last year on the campaign trail. And we sure as hell know the media fell deafly silent a few weeks back when it was demonstrated that more people consider themselves to be pro-life and than pro-choice since 1995.

I say today instead of discussing Tiller we declare this Ashley Judd day! After all, she clearly has her pulse on the thoughts and concerns of the nation. She's swell!
