I do want to add one observation to this.
In all of this "humor" he so eloquently put on display last week, we're forgetting that he also called Gov. Palin a slut. Rightly so, we were focused on the attacks on her children, but why does this point seem to be a non-issue?
Imus got fired for calling a bunch of women "nappy-headed hos". Okay, and Letterman? It took him over a week to offer a real apology and we applaud when he does so? Not sure the math adds up on that one.
I just want to leave you with this. Perhaps Dave only wishes his wife could pull off the stewardess look. In case you haven't seen a picture of his lovely wife, here you go:
Is it fair to characterize her looks anymore than Palin's? Arguably, no. But I'm just living up to the Letterman standard here.
